Refund Policy
Effective Date: May 1, 2025
Thank you for booking a tour with Five Tiki Tours (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair and transparent as possible with our refund and cancellation policies.
- Cancellations by the Customer
- Full Refund: You may cancel your booking up to 72 hours before the tour date for a full refund.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before a booked tour date will be eligible for a 50% refund. If you still want to go on a tour, please contact us directly to see if we can rebook you on another day. If there is space available, then we can reschedule your booking and apply your funds with no penalty.
- No Refund: Cancellations made within 24 hours of a booked tour date, or no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.
All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to dave@fivetikitours.com or through our contact page.
- Changes to Bookings
We will do our best to accommodate requests to reschedule tours, subject to availability. As stated in Partial Refund above, requests must be made at least 24 hours outside a booked tour may be eligible for a rebooking with no penalty (pending availability).
- Cancellations by Us
In the rare event that we must cancel a tour due to weather, safety concerns, tour guide illness, or insufficient bookings, we will offer you the option of:
- A full refund, or
- Rescheduling for another available date.
- Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7 business days after approval. Please note that bank processing times may vary.
- Non-Refundable Items
Some tours, especially those involving third-party providers or special events, may be marked as non-refundable at the time of booking. Please review the details carefully when booking.

- Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for:
- Any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during a tour, unless caused by our proven negligence;
- Delays or cancellations due to weather, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control;
- Third-party services or activities not directly operated by us.
Participation is at your own risk.
- User Conduct
When on a Five Tiki Tours excursions, you will agree to:
- Listen to your guide at all times and follow their instructions.
- Respect cultural traditions, customs, and places of historical performance.
- Practice Aloha with locals, kama’aina, and everyone you may encounter on island.
- Wear clothing and footwear that is suitable for your booked activity. Please also be considerate in choosing attire that is respectable of locals and kama’aina.
- In certain situations where tour activities may bring you close to locals and kama’aina, be respectful of taking photographs where faces can be clearly identifiable. It is always best to ask permission first.
- Respect all land and marine life when on island. Keep a safe distance at all times. Listen to your guides and lifeguards.
- Observe lava, but not take it back home with you. In addition to removing our scarce commodity, there are stories of bad luck in doing so.
- By all means post on social media, but be respectful of the people and ‘aina when doing so. Always practice Aloha!
